Having just her third start, two-year-old One More Honey showed both strength and heart in the trying conditions at Randwick to claim a black type success in the G2 Sweet Embrace Stakes.
A debut winner at Randwick in December, the John Thompson trained filly was then a close fifth in Teaspoon's Widden Stakes before appreciating the step up to 1200m last Saturday.
A candidate for further black type success with the Golden Slipper still a possibility, One More Honey is out of the imported Distorted Humor mare One Funny Honey whose eighth dam Lady Kells is Onemorenomore's fifth dam.
At Doomben the versatility of the Onemorenomore breed was evident when Explosive One charged home from midfield to win over 2000m, recording his second win in a row.
Up in class having lead throughout to win by a dominant 6.5 lengths at Lismore, the Matthew Dunn trained five-year-old has won five of 23 starts and looks to have a bright future over middle distances.
Tonto, a stakes winner last spring, looks close to another black type success for Onemorenomore after his second in Saturday's Listed Detonator Stakes at Ascot in Perth.
Having just his second run back from a break he is bound to derive great benefit from the run and should soon enhance on his already impressive record of seven wins from 35 starts.
At Yarra Valley Solid Rod saluted over 1950m for a deserved victory on the back of consistent form.
Onemorenomore has been in great form since relocating to Victoria’s Ridgeview Farm.
The winner of the G1 Champagne Stakes, Onemorenomore has been represented by 107 winners from just 199 starters.
Last spring he covered mares by Exceed And Excel, Danehill Dancer, More Than Ready, Encosta de Lago, Mr Prospector, Miswaki, Canny Lad, Testa Rossa and Danehill.
