Tamworth Stud Conducts Own Yearling Sale

The sale will be held on the property and will offer a dozen yearlings by his foundation sire Arlington.
The yearlings are from Arlington’s third crop and come from mares by Al Maher), Galileo, Octagonal, Magic Albert, Anabaa, Catcher In The Rye, Strategic, Court of Jewels, Honours List, Excites and Pure Theatre.
Arlington oldest progeny are three.
They include numerous winers including Little Arli, Fort Myer, Fast Arli, Arlington’s Pick, Hurricane Harbour, Magic Arli, The Lion, Cut The Mustard, Escort Arli, Caisson Platoon, Arlington Heights and placegetters Another Weapon and Kingston.
A half-brother by Red Ransom to Savabeel and closely related to Black Heart Bart, Arlington won five races from 1100m to 1800m.
His performances included three wins in Sydney and two in New Zealand, six seconds and a G1 third in the Randwic Guineas.
Another two Arlington yearlings are in the catalogue for the Scone Yearling Sale on May 14.
Tamalee Farm, consisting of 800 acres, was used to run cattle for more than 20 years before McHugh decided to increase his involvement in the breeding industry through his investment in Arlington and more than 40 broodmares.
