Danzero Sails Past 500

His attractive three-year-old filly Break Card (ex Fleur de Jazz by Fairy King) opened Danzero's account when she scored an authoritative 2.3 length win over 1200m at Randwick.

It was her fourth career victory, and her third this season, taking her prizemoney to just under $180,000.

Torryburn Stud bred the filly who is by a syndicate managed by John Baxter of Ruane Stud.

Ruane bred Danzero's second winner for the day, the four-year-old gelding Brawled (ex Next To Me by Covetous).

He won at Townsville carrying 60.5 kg and breaking 58 seconds for 1000 metres for his fourth victory in 12 starts.

The quick treble for Danzero was completed by the four-year-old gelding Gusrick (ex Sculpture's Blue by Arch Sculptorin a a maiden event at Newcastle.

In the process he became Danzero's 501st individual winner.

The three wins took the Arrowfield Stud based Golden Slipper winner's tally for the month to 13 wins and his total for the season to 132.

For the seventh consecutive season his total prizemoney exceeds $3 million, and he is again among Australia's top 25 sires.

Other metropolitan winners by Danzero during July have been Antiguan, Stoneblack and Glaze.

Outstanding Hong Kong G1 winner Happy Zero, G2 winner Extra Zero and SW Danzylum head the list of Danzero's 95 southern hemisphere winners in 2009-10.

Danzero is the sire of seven Group One winners among his 35 stakeswinners.

His 2010 fee is $16,500 including GST.
