Nicconi In Quarantine
Friday, 6 August 2010: | | Nicconi | “We've had a good deal of enquiries from clients regarding whether Nicconi would be back here to start the breeding season as scheduled on September 1,” said Widden's Antony Thompson.
“We are delighted to report he has arrived back from the UK and is now safely stabled at the Eastern Creek quarantine facility.
“Nicconi should be released from quarantine on August 25 and will be available for breeders to inspect at Widden Stud open days before starting the breeding season with all of our other sires.”
A half-brother by Group One producing sire Bianconi to five time Group One winner Niconero, Nicconi won six races and $1,027,388 in prizemoney with Group One victories in the AJC Galaxy and VRC Lightning Stakes.
“Nicconi is a very masculine thoroughbred with a powerful sprinter's physique that is going to make him a popular addition to our roster,” Thompson said.
