The top galloper, prepared by Joe Janiak at Coffs Harbour, is set to resume in the $500,000 Age Classic (1200m) at Flemington on November 8.

Target Target has overcome a slight injury sustained in England during the Ascot summer carnival and Janiak described his recent work as phenomenal.

The nine-year-old, with 17 wins and over $2.5 million in prizemoney, will have an exhibition gallop at Moonee Valley this Saturday.

Janiak then hopes to trial him at Flemington ahead of his return there on Emirates day.

Takeover Target has started five times down the straight track for three wins – all at Group 1 level – in the 2004 Salinger Stakes, and the 2006 Lightning Stakes Newmarket Handicap double.

Following the run in Melbourne Janiak plans to send Takeover Target to Perth where he will be a huge drawcard in two feature sprint races at the Ascot carnival.
