Friday, 24 October 2008: | | Clarry Conners | The $250,000 Inglis Juvenile (1000m) has attracted a strong field of 13 for the first race in a series that offers a total of $2.5million in select races for Inglis graduates.
The form behind Our Joan Of Arc, a $15,000 Inglis Classic purchase this year, in the Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick has been outstanding, with three metropolitan winners already coming out of the race.
These include the $1.1million Redoute's Choice filly Come Hither, who showed how strong the Sydney 2YO form is this spring by poducing a dazzling turn of foot to win the Listed Debutants Stakes at Caulfield last week after running third to Our Joan Of Arc on debut.
Impressive ydney winners Movie and Horizons bouncd off their debut runs in the Gimcrack to win their next starts at Rosehill and Randwick.
Ironically the Clarry Conners trained Our Joan Of Arc, who was purchased by Darby Bloodstock, is one of the cheapest horses in tomorrow's Inglis Juvenile at $15,000.
The most expensive runner is the David Hayes trained debutant Bawaardi (Redoute's Choice-Stella Artois), who was a $1.3million purchase for Shadwell Australia at this year's Inglis Easter Sale.
