Clarkson To Fill TRSA role

Thursday, 16 October 2008: TRSA announced yesterday that current CEO Ian Hart, who has been in the role for 10 years, has decided to pursue other opportunities and will finish at the end of this week.

He will also relinquish his roles as executive director on the Australian Racing Board, the Racing Information Systems Australian and his chairmanship of the Australian Pattern Committee, which is responsible for the allocation, promotion and demotion of group and listed races in Australia.

Philip Bentley, chairman of TRSA, yesterday announced Sean Clarkson would fill Hart's role until the position is filled permanently.

Clarkson has a strong racing background and has been an administrator with more than 10 years experience in Country Racing Victoria, including roles as chief operating officer and acting CEO.

He begins on Monday.
