Publishing hasn't raced since trying to lead throughout in the Listed Manifold Stakes (1400m) at Flemington in mid-January where he was grabbed on the line by Stickpin.
Williams feels a similar effort will see Publishing run well in Saturday's race over the same journey.
Efficient, who hasn't raced since winning the Melbourne Cup, will still only have one run this campaign which is likely to now be the Group 2 Blamey Stakes over a mile at Flemington on March 13.
Zipping, who also hasn't raced since the Melbourne Cup, will begin his light autumn campaign a week earlier in the Listed Chubb Stakes at Flemington before the Group 3 Easter Cup at Caulfield on March 22.
