Nearly Caught is seen as the one to beat by Andreas Wohler who has two entries, with his Red Cardinal on 11/4 and Eddy Pedroza riding. Also in the possibles market is Be Famous on 13/2. The rest of the field are in double figures.

The winner gets a free entry to the Belmont Gold Cup in the US with a generous travel allowance and the first three are exempt from the entry fee for the Irish St. Leger.
