Hong Kong Opening Day
Sunday, 5 September 2010: !FLAG:hongkong.gif @ Hong Kong!
There are two competitive Class 2s and the Class 1 HKSAR Chief Executive's Cup Class 1 to tempt us to part with the hard-earned.
Race 3 is the Albert Handicap Cl. 2 over 1400m, and here Cerise Cherry looks the go - he's 2.8 with Deposer next best at 3.3. We are going to put in the Fownes pair of Bouncer (6.7) and Vigor Delight (16) for value in the multiples.
The Cup is Race 4 over 1200m and Lucky Nine should continue the good form he showed last season - he's 2.4 and may well start shorter. Amigo is 5.1, and we are putting in a couple of roughies for value here - Shining Victory at 13 and Perfect Style 14.
Race 7 is the Albany Handicap over 1000m and with only 8 runners the draw shouldn't be a factor so we are going for London China Town at 3.9 ahead of Multiglory at 2.4 and putting in Blaze King now racing in blinkers and with a claiming apprentice aboard - he's 4.2. Not much value but here's hoping we are not needing to get out in this.
Track is reported as good to yielding.
