Having been the centre of attention for all that time he continued to hold centre stage by winning the race
by a head from Rio de la Plata with Siyouni a further head away in third. Paco Boy, favourite for this, did
not seem to be at his best, got blocked for a run along the rails and had to settle for fourth.

The Prix de la Rochette went to My Name Is Bond with Hung Parliament second. Hung Parliament is by
Numerous out of Sensational Mover - now we presume "numerous" is a name and not a description of his
dam's dalliances.
