Perfect ten for Better than Ever

Monday, 23 August 2010:
!FLAG:singapore.gif @ Singapore!

As he came round the home turn Saimee gave him a bit of rein and he just demolished a field of very
good horses. The official margin was 3.5 lengths but he was just allowed to run, nothing forced or
pressured. In winning this race he broke the record for number of consecutive wins and also gave trair
Laurie Laxon his 800th winner. Laxon also had the quinella as Waikato finished second, Ghozi third, but
they were somewhat in the distance.

"Simply the best" was payed over the P.A. as Saimee brought the winner home and that about sums him
up. Singapore are fortunate that they have two outstanding horses around at present, with Rocket Man
being the other.
