Riding for John Gosden Buick seized the opportunity to get Debussy through a gap along the rails to head off the favourite. Stablemate Tazeez ran second. For the rest of Buick's weekend see the report on Deauville.
Paddy O'Prado was too strong for Wigmore Hall who was running on well at the end and had not been helped by the lack of pace, but the winner is a great horse who is so honest. Working for Hops ran third.
The Beverly D was a emotional win for Richard Duchossois with Eclair de Lune, as the race is named for his late wife. Hot Cha Cha and Gypsy's Warning took the minors.
The Alabama Gr 1 went to California runner Blind Luck who brought her good form with her and her jockey Joel Rosario, with Havre de Grace and Acting Happy in the minors. Disappointment in the race was Devil May Care who ran fourth - she's better than that so whether she has been up too long or some other problem occurred, we will have to wait and see.
At Monmouth not a bad run from I Want Revenge in third, but the big money went to Duke of Mischief ahead of Redding Colliery.
The Del Mar Oaks went according to script with Evening Jewel finishing half a length ahead of Harmonious and Perfect Shirl in third.
