Nom Du Jeu Attracts Big Support
Wednesday, 11 August 2010: | | Nom Du Jeu | Owned by a powerful syndicate of major commercial studs and the Morton Family of Brisbane who bred and raced him, Nom Du Jeu has attracted strong support from many breeders.
Among the mares already booked to the AJC Derby winner are Centuria, the three time stakes producing dam of Cent Home, Studebaker and Ballet Society.
Other black type mares in his book include Tall Poppy, Classic Babe and Sound Lover.
Gerald Fell the owner of Fairdale Stud, believes supporters will be duly rewarded.
“He is an outstanding looking horse and if his foals look anything like him, I'm sure they will sell well,” he said.
“He's very popular and rightly so, he is very well priced for what he is.
“He won his only start at two, he is the son of the best living sire in Montjeu and he won at every distance from 1200m to 2400m.
“He really is the complete package and we are very lucky to have him here.
“If he had come down from the northern hemisphere with his credentials, he would most likely be standing somewhere else at a much higher fee”.
