Monday, 28 July 2008: The only filly in the field, The Legal Blonde proved the surprise package, missing victory by just a neck.

The Legal Blonde became her sire's fourth stakes performer in the Northern Hemisphere over recent weeks following the win of the unbeaten filly Elusive Wave at Longchamp and the stakes placings of Able Master and Connie Mac at Epsom and Royal Ascot respectively.

With eight individual winners to his credit so far from his first Northern Hemisphere crop, Haunui Farm's Elusive City holds a strong position on the European Freshman Sires table heading into the business end of the season.
