NZ Stallions Punching Above Weight on World Stage

Occupying just 18% of the Australasian stallion population, New Zealand's stallions dominated two of the top three placings on the review of international performance, with a further two NZ-based stallions occupying positions within the top 15.
Covering sire performance in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Macau, Waikato Stud's champion stallion O'Reilly (NZ) featured foremost of the New Zealand-based contingent, distinguished here with progeny earnings of over $13 million.
Cambridge Stud's super sire Zabeel (NZ) chased hard in third, with associated progeny earnings nearing $11 million.
Waikato and Cambridge Stud were again directly responsible for New Zealand's next best stallions on the list, with Pins (AUS) and Stravinsky (USA) respectively finishing favourably in 10th and 13th.
