Exciting New Addition To South Island Stallion Ranks

Monday, 4 August 2008: “He will be a very welcome and timely addition to the stallion ranks in the South Island this year,” said Paul Thistoll of Emerald Lodge.

Grand Supreme's sire is the all-conquering Danehill, who made such a huge impact as a sire in both hemispheres. He has been the leading sire in Australia on nine occasions.

Grand Supreme's dam is the Sadler's Wells mare Eyes Of Belief.

Eyes Of Belief is a half-sister to the Gr.1 winner and highly successful sire, Dolphin Street, and two other Gr.1 winners – Insight and Saffron Walden.

Eyes Of Belief is from the same family as the Gr.1 Moyglare Stakes winner Sequoyah (by Sadler's Wells) who is the dam of Henrythenavigator.

Grand Supreme's first-season fee at Emerald Lodge will be $3500.
