Ballydoyle's Tally Is Heaven Sent

Monday, 4 August 2008: One of 13 individual stakes winners in Europe for outstanding stallion Pivotal this season, Halfway To Heaven was a 450,000 euro purchase from Goffs as a yearling in 2006.

The three-year-old filly had previously won this season's G1 Irish 1000 Guineas and is now the winner of three races from six outings.

Saturday's win takes Aidan O'Brien's Group 1 tally so far this season to an extraordinary 17, following the feature races wins of stable flagbearers Henrythenavigator (Kingmambo) and Duke Of Marmalade (Danehill) in the preceeding seven days.

Halfway To Heaven, who is from the Group winning Indian Ridge mare Cassandra Go, beat the Galileo filly Lush Lashes to land Saturday's Goodwood feature.
