Adena Springs Yearlings Go To Auction

Saturday, 2 August 2008: Stronach has announced that Adena Springs products will be sold at public auctions, beginning with next week's Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale.

Adena Springs will offer 217 of its current crop of yearlings at auction sales this year.

Hidden Brook Farm will act as agent for the seven Adena Springs products at next week's sale.

A total of 37 Adena Springs youngsters will be offered at the OBS August Sale and 173 are consigned to the Keeneland September Sale.

Adena Springs has previously held back its yearlings for an annual sale of two-year-olds in training held each March in Ocala.

"We've elected to go the yearling route with the current crop," Stronach said.

"We've decided to open our breaking and training facility at Adena Springs South to the public and this change in strategy will free up valuable stall space there."
