Disquiet to be freshened for Yallambee
Story By Jason Hickson
Monday, 18 February 2008: The talented three-year-old won two of his first four starts before stepping up to 1450m at Cheltenham Park last Saturday where he raced on the pace and battled on well to finish a dead-heat third behind outsider Plan Ahead.
The gelding was on-trial for a run in the Listed Adelaide Guineas over a mile in a fortnight but after Saturday's result will be kept fresh for shorter races this time in.
Jolly believes Disquiet is much better being ridden off the speed and hitting the line and has earmarked the Group 2 Yallambee Stakes as the next target.
The $200,000 race is a three-year-old set weight event over 1200m at Morphettville on Adelaide Cup day – March 10.
Jolly said the faster pace in the Yallambee will suit Disquiet and he will add the blinkers for the rich event.
