Redoute's Son Wins At Del Mar
Monday, 11 August 2008: The four-year-old was exported to the US in March this year after having just the one start in Australia, when beating the subsequent South Australian Oaks winner Queen Of Queens at Bendigo last September.
He is from the Covetous mare Vicarious, whose latest foal is a colt by Exceed And Excel.
TDN said “the bay colt rallied four wide into the lane, took control at midstretch and won by 1 1/2 lengths” in the 1700m event.
Redoute's Choice's forays into the Northern Hemisphere will continue when a filly from Rory's Jester's Magic Millions winner Catbird will be sold at the famed Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
The yearling is the result of the first year of Redoute's Choice's Northern Hemisphere timed matings in Australia.
